BUG LIST:
These will be fixed in due course:
- Move tapping layer could be improved with better directional movement and other things.
If your device has a smaller screen, then turn on the "move tapping layer" menu option.
NEW TO BROGUE OR ROGUELIKES?
If you are not familiar with Brogue, or the Roguelike genre, then you should go to the following web site and download a free version for your Mac, Linux or Windows computer. If you like it and want to aid development of a mobile version for your Android device, then come back and purchase this work in progress.
Download Brogue for your Mac, Linux or Windows computer:

WHAT IS A ROGUELIKE?
What is a Roguelike? Most modern games have art representing the game world. This presents someone else's vision of what their world looks like to you, and that is what you experience. A Roguelike is a game that uses letters and symbols to represent a game world. This means that once you have familiarised yourself with them, you engage your own imagination to build a picture of the game world. Take a step forwards back into an improved world viewed through text! :-)
BUT BROGUE DOES NOT COST ANYTHING?
But Brogue doesn't cost anything? No, it doesn't. But you can't play the Windows, Mac or Linux versions on your Android device can you? A version of Brogue that will eventually ideally sport a fancy native Android method of control, and will hopefully be playable on some smaller screened devices won't emerge like a golden egg during your morning reign on the porcelain throne. By buying this version, you support open source Android development on both Brogue and libtcod user experience. There will be no gameplay development done as a result of my efforts.
BUT BROGUE IS OPEN SOURCE?
Yes, Brogue is open source. So is BrogueX. All the up-to-date source used to build this is present in the following four version control repositories:
https://bitbucket.org/rmtew/brogue
https://bitbucket.org/rmtew/broguex
https://bitbucket.org/rmtew/libtcod
http://www.libsdl.org/hg.php
This release should meet the criteria of Brogue's GPLv3 license, by releasing all required code needed to reproduce this "work". Just go into the SDL source code, and follow their Android instructions and you can piece it all together.
WHAT DOES BROGUE'S AUTHOR THINK OF YOU SELLING THIS
Pender, Brogue's author, as approved it as long as it is made clear that this is not the official Android port of Brogue. Nowhere have I claimed this, and here is is made explicit.
WHY ARE YOU SELLING THIS AGAIN?
Because I want to see if people will support the development of a first class Android port - hence the rather expensive price. It discourages people from trying or buying it, and being surprised at the less than perfect experience that is yet to be improved over time. People are more likely to buy it knowing what they are getting.
CAN I RELEASE A FREE VERSION OF THIS APP?
It is open source. But if you release another version of this, please provide your own source code releases and support for them. Consider that if it makes it difficult for me to develop this one, it will discourage me from doing so.
